RUSSIAN AMERICAN JEWS FOR ISRAEL (RAJI)

Russian American Jews for Israel (RAJI) is the largest Zionist  organization in the United States representing the 700,000-strong Russian American Jewish community who have settled in the United States in the last 30 years in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and other cities.

RAJI’s mission is to raise awareness among Russian-speaking Jews in the United States of a secure, democratic and Jewish state of Israel. We strive to channel the pro-Israel sentiment prevalent in the Russian American Jewish community into practical actions.  Our goal is to integrate the Russian American Jewish community into the mainstream American Jewish community on the basis of support for the State of Israel. We realize that Russian Jewish citizens of the United States have or will become Americans, but it’s our responsibility that they become American Jews who provide their children and grandchildren with Jewish education and instill in them a sense of love for the State of Israel.

The Russian American Jewish community has joined forces under the banner of Russian American Jews for Israel (RAJI) to become part and parcel of the World Zionist Movement and to participate in the World Zionist Congress elections.

Our goal is to integrate the 700,000 strong Russian American Jews into the mainstream American Jewish community on the basis of pro-Israel activism and practical Zionism, as expressed in the Jerusalem platform.

Our slogan is: “Strong Diaspora – Strong Israel, Strong Israel – Strong Diaspora.”
