Retired Ambassador Asher Naim Visits Mevasseret

August 2, 2009 / 12 Av 5769

Ambassador (ret.) Asher Naim paid a visit to the Jewish Agency's Mevasseret Zion Absorption Center accompanied by Mara Kochba, a fundraiser, social activist and consultant to non-profits from Los Angeles, California.

Mara, who adores children, was delighted to meet and observe the young Ethiopian immigrants at play at the absorption center's kindergaten.

Mara and the fund she is involved with are eager to help the Ethiopian immigrants. They want to raise funds, via the organization headed by Ambassador Naim, for designated projects such as buying 20 computers for the absorption center.

At the conclusion of the visit, Ambassador (ret.) Asher Naim wrote:

"I want to thank you for the visit and for everthing that went into the absorption of Ethiopian immigrants. I think you are doing a beautiful job in the area of aliyah. I will do my best towards giving a donation for the wonderful work being done at Mevasseret Zion Absorption Center."
