Amigour Renovates Shelters in Ofakim

January 15, 2009 / 19 Tevet 5769

Amigour, the Jewish Agency's public housing company, recently renovated many shelters in the southern Israeli town of Ofakim.  The work was made possible by a generous donation from the United Jewish Communities of North America.

A number of shelters and residences for the elderly in southern Israel underwent extensive renovations done by the company through funds provided by donors abroad.

The Academayim residence for the elderly in Ashkelon, for example, was renovated with the help of the  Gladys and Irving Coopersmith Charitable Trust, which is represented by Arthur A. Anderman.
