Immigrant Soldiers Visit Absorption Center

November 9, 2009 / 22 Cheshvan 5770

Immigrant Ethiopian soldiers serving in the Michve Alon Education Corps army base in the Upper Galilee paid a memorable visit to the Jewish Agency Beit Alpha Absorption Center.

The soldiers, who immigrated to Israel four years ago, enlisted in the army a month ago. They are  taking a basic training course as well as a Hebrew language course.

The new immigrant children at Beit Alpha were overjoyed to host the soldiers and to listen to their stories of aliyah and absorption in Israel.

Both the soldiers and the children enjoyed their joint activities.
