IBIM STUDENT VILLAGE

Residents
A variety of students study at Ibim, in many different frameworks. Many of the younger students, formerly from the Former Soviet Union, study at the Sapir Sha'ar Hanegev Regional College and participate in the Selah program. Others including Ethiopian olim participate in a number of programs, such as Kedma, Kedma Bet and Atid.

Hebrew/Ulpan
The Hebrew Ulpan classes are held in the Sapir Regional College. Instruction is given for the first three levels and is under Ministry of Education supervision.  Transportation to and from classes is provided for Ibim students.

Culture
Leisure time activities are an integral part of the lives of the 400 young adults at Ibim and include field trips, holiday celebrations and Israeli cultural events, sports, movies, etc.  The students use the local sporting facilities and well-equipped fitness center, and participate in regional and local cultural activities.
Religious services are offered at the Village, including a synagogue and special activities for Jewish holidays.

Services
All students at the Ibim Village enjoy a variety of services and unique benefits – subscriptions to the cinemateque and hydrotherapy swimming pool at nearby Sapir, use of a gym, computer room, 3 social clubs, dance evenings, disco, basketball and soccer fields, etc.

Israeli students, generally after their army service, also reside at the Ibim Village, and assist the olim in their studies and absorption into Israeli society.
