Residents The Ye'elim Absorption Center houses a varied population of singles and families from all around the world: North and Latin America, F.S.U, Ethiopia, India, Turkey, the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Cuba and others.
Hebrew/Ulpan The Ye'elim Absorption Center runs an Initial Hebrew ulpan for academics. Classes are taught by licensed Ministry of Education instructors, and are held five hours a day, five days a week for a period of five months. Additional levels and classes for non academics residents of the Center are offered (in accordance with demand) at another local ulpan just a ten minute walk from Ye’elim.
Children Children learn in local schools and kindergartens that are in close proximity to the Center. From ages 4-18, children and youth participate in afternoon activities, which include homework assistance and enrichment programs, such as music, art, sports, etc., preparatory programs for school, help with learning Hebrew, and other special and holiday events.
Culture The Center offers Jewish/Israeli cultural programs and activities on holidays and events, and classes on Jewish and Israeli history. There are also field trips, seminars and summer programs, aimed at familiarizing the new immigrants with Israel, and assisting them to integrate into society in the best possible way.
