I am happy to present you with an overview of some of the past month’s events at Ibim. A highlight was a visit from students in the San Diego Jewish Academy, including chaperoning parents and a team of teachers. This type of visit undoubtedly further strengthen our ties and affords a deeper understanding and appreciation of the work we do together to promote absorption, Zionism, the Negev and the connection between Israel and world Jewry. On Memorial Day for IDF soldiers and victims of terror, we stood together, as we do every year, to remember the soldiers who have given their lives in defense of the State of Israel and the victims of terror. At Ibim, we pay tribute to the memory of the two Ibim students who fell in the line of duty - Kedma graduate Yalau Yasmau z”l, and Selah graduate Aleksei Naikov z’’l.
