In a very wet wintry day, we gathered from three councils: Maale Yosef, Merom Hagalil and Shlomi, to spend time with the children at the Ethiopian Absorption centre in Zfat.
The Youth Council of Partnership 2000 Confrontation Line/ Great Britain participate in a "friend for the road" project, where 25 youth, delegations veterans, organize joint activities with children age 6-10 living in the Absorption Centre, in order to bring them into the Israeli society and help them in their absorption.
During the meeting, held on 18.1, Ehudi the counselor told the children a story about a cloud, which was very appropriate for that day.
The story is about a little boy named Ido, who is afraid of thunder and lighting and succeed to overcome his fears with the help of his new friend, the cloud.
The children loved the story and afterwards made clouds out of Styrofoam, which they decorated. At the end they had a treat - hot chocolate drink!
After many games, jumping and smiling it was time to leave. It was very sad to say goodbye. Each one of them touched our heart.
We had great fun and can hardly wait for the next time!
