I would like to open my summery for my visit to 8 of the Jewish communities of the Western Galilee consortium by quoting the teachers from the public education system of Youngstown:

"Music unites the world. Thank you for putting a song in our hearts"

Music is the most common language in the world today at it is one of the best ways to communicate between people, to open hearts and create unity.

In times of war and in times of peace the Western Galilee gets a huge support from our Jewish communities colleagues and they do their best to help us develop our region.

This time the direction of "giving" was different - It was from the Israeli side to the American:I came to the United States to share my educational experience with the early childhood educators of the different communities and I exposed them to the curriculum of the musical enrichment center which is unique to Akko.

When I started my 21 days visit to the different communities, I was on a mission which included knowledge sharing, mutual thinking and founding twinning relationship between the early childhood educators and classes.

The curriculum of the Early childhood musical center which I manage, integrates between music, teaching Math concepts and developing learning skills.

The American educators loved the idea of integrating Music and Math and they were very interested in the power point presentation which showed the achievements of the kindergarten children in Akko. They also enjoyed the musical games, the movements and the creativity of the program etc.

The Early childhood musical center curriculum gained international recognition in the past and it is implemented in Nepal, Thailand and Romania.  Now, the American educators are interested in its curriculum too.

In edition to the professional aspect of my visit I think that our personal meetings with each other will contribute to create mutual relationship between the early childhood educators in both countries and will improve the image of Israel.

The local press and TV also mentioned my visit and brought Israel in a positive way to the heart of the educational system in the different communities.

Finally I want to quote from what Melissa, my visit to Dallas coordinator, wrote to me:" It was a pleasure to meet you. Your presentation was wonderful and everyone who attended found it very educational and inspirational".
