Thanks To Our November Visitors

Visitors from San Antonio, Louisville, Youngstown, Omaha, Dallas, Indianapolis, Des Moines, North West Indiana, South Bend and Austin visited in November the Partnership region during their tour to Israel.

A few highlights:

San Antonio visitors together with "Ort Darsky" Akko High school students created  "Free Gilad Shalit" posters. Gilad Shalit is the IDF soldier, who was captured by Palestinian militants on June 25th, 2006 and has been held hostage by Hamas since. For more information: www.habanim.org/en/gilad_en.html

Omaha and Youngstown visitors with the Matte Asher "Teen to Teen" participants carried out the "Free Gilad Shalit" activity and produced posters with the Matte Asher "Teen to Teen" participants in Kfar Nofesh Resort Village.

San Antonio, Youngstown and Omaha visitors enjoyed their meeting with the Partnership volunteers in the Yechiam castle.

Dallas and Indianapolis visitors proudly participated in the "Hafuch al Hafuch" opening ceremony, unveiling the plague.

"Hafuch" is a Coffee house and information center for youth in Akko and the center moved to its new home. The new beautiful center was supported by Dallas donors and IEC Consortium designated funds  

Des Moines visitors met with students in the Regba elementary school (Educational twinning) and toured the Western Galilee hospital 

North West Indiana and South Bend participants met and had dinner with "Wings" participants in one of their apartments

"Wings" is a program which teach developmentally challenged youth  how to live and function in society. As well they are taught employable skills and volunteer in the National Service.

60 consortium visitors and Western Galilee volunteers enjoyed the wonderful hospitality and Partnership dinner, which took place in Beth Zuriel's place
