"This Was The Best Craft I Have Ever Done" Said One Of The Indianapolis Students To His Teacher Irit Boukai

Peace on Earth is an educational project that consists of work with Jewish and Arab schools on recycling and environmental issues. The project is the initiative of three partnership volunteers: Yona Fleischer, Merav Fleischer and Ifat Eizner, who were joined by Nura Faran, social education coordinator at the Sheikh Danun school.

The project began during the 2009/10 school year and has been very successful.

Over the summer, Irit Boukai, a teacher from the Indianapolis community, met with Ifat Eizner, and after a successful connection was established between the two, Indianapolis also decided to join the project.

Children from schools in Indianapolis gathered together with their parents this past Rosh Hashanah in order to work on the products of this project and build a mobile made up completely of recycled materials.

We all hope that the project will be successful this year as well, and that Indianapolis will also be involved in the learning process.
