This summer will be busy at Nitzana. More than a thousand teenagers are expected to participate in educational summer programs for children and youth, while hundreds more visitors will come for other programs including sport.
During July and August there will be "Nitzana Science" desert programs which combine science and technology with desert fun and experiences including nature trips into the wilderness, donkey and bicycle rides etc. The idea is to expose youngsters aged 12-13 from southern development towns to challenging scientific thought. Previous programs have demonstrated that such an experience stimulates and motivates these children to take a more serious interest in science in the future.
