Zionist Kollels

Zionist Kollel shlichim serve in many countries around the world on behalf of Torah MiTzion, an independent association, in cooperation with the Jewish Agency. They are relocated in small groups to each community, where they form their own Bet Midrash and create havrutot - Torah study groups for the community, teach classes to younger pupils and college students, organize seminars and courses, and conduct various formal and informal educational activities for the community at large.
Shlichut Requirements: Graduates of a Hesder Yeshiva, or IDF graduates resident in Israel, with a minimum of one year learning in post-high school Yeshiva, or similar Torah study institution; a high level of background and knowledge in the areas of: Judaism, Israel, Zionism and Torah study; the ability to teach and guide participants in formal and informal frameworks of study.
Period of Shlichut: One year, with the option of a one-year extension.
